Bubba Bain and his wife Janie were a package deal. They moved to South Texas to head up the Association in 2009. Bubba brings a lifetime of cattle experience to the job. His 35-year-plus career includes Director of Field Services for a breed association, owner/operator of an embryo transfer facility, manager of cow/calf operations, owner/operator of a feedyard and feed mill, as well as extensive marketing experience.
More than likely you will be talking to Janie when you call the office. She will be acting as office manager to assist in establishing the Association as well as traveling with Bubba to promote Akaushi cattle.
If asked, they would say their greatest accomplishment has been their 40 year marriage, two grown sons and beautiful daughters-in-law, and their four wonderful grandchildren, two boys and two girls. What a ride!! bbain@akaushi.com or jbain@akaushi.com
